Caroline was born on July 10, 2010
weighing 2 lbs and 3 oz. and 14 inches long.

She came 13 weeks early ( at 27 weeks) due to HELLP. I went into the hospital with right side pain. My liver was about to erupt. My liver enzymes were sky high and my blood pressure was high. The doctor decided to take the baby to save both of our lives. Caroline had to stay in the NICU for 67 days. During her stay at the NICU, she had several blood transfusions, infection in her intestine, and problems with her eyes.

Caroline just celebrated her first birthday weighing 18 lbs. and has no lingering health problems. We are so blessed to have a healthy baby girl! She is a gift from God!
